People were introduced with a new rescue machinery and equipment and also given a chance to feel like a rescuer, putting on a firefighter’s gear.
Poltava rescuers arranged an occasion for kids.
As the chief of Information and Communication of the Department of Civil Service of Emergency Situations of Ukraine in Poltava region Vitaly Shkarevskyy told that primarily it was a training and educational action for children.
“This event is a good opportunity to convey to teenagers the basic safety rules. The goal of our classes is to teach children how to act in extreme situations. Tell them what they should do and what they shouldn’t,”- said Shkarevskyy.
The most of all kids liked to dress up like a firefighters, tug-of-war competition and quizzes.
“I like to be here. It is very interesting to touch the fire truck and talk to a real rescuer, “- said a pupil of the school № 10 Lisa.
At the end, kids thanked rescuers for interesting action and promised to comply with all safety rules.
We would remind you that on the 17th of September the rescuers all over Ukraine, fire prevention veterans celebrate their professional holiday. The Day of Rescuer coincides with the Commemoration Day of Our Lady’s ‘Burning Bush’ Icon, which is a patron of firefighters and rescuers, a people’s symbol talisman from fire, natural and other disasters.
